It had a very surprising voice cast like John Leguizamo and Billy West (from futurama!). The game is also very funny with some jokes that were definitely made for an older crowd. Some of is very funky or jazzy depending on where you were. The music in this game was a delight as each section had it's own background music. They created a fun skateboard grind type challenge when you transferring portals from one area to another. The fact that this game was harder than a typical 3D platformer was great as well and kept my interest up throughout the game. It had a ton of fun level designs and challenges to get pass. That all being said, there was still a lot of fun to be had in this game. In most cases you will not die in this game, but if you do, it's is incredibly frustrating. This includes recollecting any gold you had already collected during your first attempt. If you die at any point in the level, you must start the level off from the beginning again. It's actually cut up into level sections and the sections can be very long. Even though this game feels like it's open world it's not. It didn't stop me from finishing the game but I definitely spent way longer in some areas than I would have liked just getting shut out by time limits.Īlong with the developers making this game more difficult with it's time use, they also making dying a punishment. Maybe you're looking for more a challenge than what Rayman 2 gave you but for me I would have rather shot for permanent upgrades. This isn't necessarily a bad thing based on the user who is playing the game. Making defeating monsters and getting to higher grounds in the levels more difficult.
#Rayman shot upgrade#
In Rayman 2 you're given the opportunity of permanent upgrades that help you transverse the levels more easily where in this game every upgrade you find has a very specific time limit of use. The long and short of it is that Rayman 3 is more focused on timing than anything else. I would go as far to say this game feels more unpolished than it's previous predecessor, Rayman 2: The Great Escape. The only downside is it way more unpolished in comparison to either for a game that came out after both of them. Just your classic platformer that requires you to collect objects, upgrades, do puzzles, and defeat monsters and bosses as you progress to different worlds.
This game really brought me back to the good ol days of Super Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie. It is Rayman's job to defeat the evil monsters that are created and stop Andre as well. It follow the story of a black lum name Andre who appears out of no where, and goes around turning all the good red lums evil.
Main Review: Rayman 3 as a 3D platform game and as implied in the name, the third game in the franchise.
#Rayman shot Patch#
There is a patch called Better Rayman 3 which can be found either by google or on the pcgamingwiki website that fixes these errors. Apparently there is a common bug where the textures don't appear when you boot up the game. Played the game through the steam client so it didn't keep track of it in either steam or gog client.īug report: I played this via the GOG client.
